Description

Purpose of Job: To assure each Aviation Maintenance Technician enrollee advances to the level necessary to attain related certifications and gainful employment. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at SouthernTech while maintaining compliance with FAA’s Title 14, Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Schools regulations, SouthernTech regulations, SouthernTech board policy, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education requirements, State and Federal Laws.

Required Qualifications Job requirements:

1. High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. A provisional Oklahoma Teaching certificate is required; Standard Oklahoma Teaching Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain in accordance with district policy.

4. FAA A & P certification required.

5. IA (Inspection Authorization) preferred.

6. A minimum of 3 years in the last 5 years work experience in aircraft maintenance.

7. Must be familiar with FAA Title 14, Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Schools regulations.

TITLE: INTERMEDIATE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
Elementary Administration Certification Required
At least five years successful teaching experience

REPORTS TO: Principal

SUPERVISES:
All staff assigned to the school.
All other resource and service personnel while functioning in the assigned school.

JOB GOAL: To relieve the principal of such impediments as to prevent him/her from fulfilling his/her chief responsibility of promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the scheduling of classes; supervises the extra-curricular activities program.
Assists in the preparation of student schedules.
Works with department heads and faculty groups in compiling the annual budget requests.
Requisitions supplies and equipment, conducting inventories, maintaining records, and checking on receipts for such material.
Assists in the responsibility for coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.
Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and does investigative follow-up actions where needed.
Supervises conduct within the school and oversees all disciplinary procedures, keeping records of any disciplinary action.
Assists with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing the educational program and related activities and objectives.
Works with the principal in promoting the in-service program of the staff, and assists in the Community Awareness Program.
Assists in textbook and supplies distribution and inventory.
Works with the principal in the preparation of the student handbook.
Assists the principal in the general administration of the school, and serves as principal when the principal is absent.
Keeps confidential records of special students and supervises IEP conferences when necessary.
Coordinates the in-school suspension program.
Assigns any extra duties as necessary to teacher.
Does monthly dropout report for state department and assists with other state reports as necessary.
Obtains substitute teachers and/or “covering” teachers where necessary.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
205 days per year

Description

Job purpose
To assist in all areas of grounds maintenance for providing a safe, neat and clean environment on the campus.

Duties and responsibilities
Operation of all yard maintenance equipment, i.e.; mowing, trimming, pruning, etc.
Operate backhoe and forklift
Maintain and clean all equipment
Maintain lawn sprinklers
Assist in other areas of building maintenance as assigned
Other duties as assigned

Working conditions
The Grounds Maintenance Worker will perform duties primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to inclement weather. The mission of the school may require work in the business and industry community and other settings. A standard workweek is required but may require evening or weekend hours to accommodate activities such as travel within and outside of the Great Plains Service area, Board meetings and representation of Great Plains at public events.

This position will require physically strenuous work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move items up to fifty (50) pounds.

Contract Length
12 month, full-time
