Description

Serve as the Campus Instructional Leader and be responsible for the administration and supervision of all full-time, part-time, and special instructional programs, curriculum, and medial development, and student services at the campus.

Assists in defining short-range and long-range educational needs, establishing campus goals and objectives, and formulating plans for recommendations to the Superintendent.

Keeps informed of and interprets laws, regulations, statutes, rules and policies affecting the campus and assists in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the ICTC Board of Education.

Assists in identifying, preparing, evaluating and disseminating, pertinent information to the Director.

Prepares and submits reports and other documents as required by the ICTC Board of Education, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, State Department of Education, and the School District.

Develops proposals for special funding of programs and projects.

Attends all regular and special meetings of the Board of Education as required.

Participates in Administrative staff meetings and other school meetings and functions as required.

Conducts regular meetings with staff under his/her supervision.

Participates in the team management process and supports the organizational management philosophy of the District.

Coordinates the development of the long-range plans for all areas related to the instructional programs, instructional support areas, and plant operations at the campus.

Coordinates the planning of new construction or modifications to existing facilities working in cooperation with the Superintendent.

It is expected for employee to be on time each workday as this is essential to the employee’s job.

Provides leadership in the development, implementation, evaluation, and use of competency based instructional materials and methods to be used in instructional programs.

Provides leadership in the planning, development, and coordination of full-time, short-term, and special vocational and technical programs.

Coordinates support activities with Student Services, Instructional Services, Information Services, and other areas as necessary.

Implements and monitors an instructional audit system for assessing the status of instructional programs and instructional support services for evaluations an planning purposes.

Provide leadership in the planning of activities to meet the needs of students who have a deficiency in basic education or need special education services.

Provide leadership in the implementation of advisory committee recommendations as appropriate.

Serves as instructional leader at the campus.

Responsible for preparation and administration of the campus budget.

Establishes and maintains efficient procedures and effective controls for expenditures of school funds in accordance with the adopted budget and the School Code.

Monitors the purchase of supplies and equipment for all instructional programs, support services, and plant operations at the campus.

Assists in the recruitment and employment of campus personnel, working cooperatively with the Superintendent.

Implements procedures for evaluations of instructors to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and ICTC Board policies and procedures.

Conducts an annual evaluation of all personnel directly under his/her supervision in accordance with the personnel policies and procedures of the District.

Participates in annual evaluation of his/her own performance with the Superintendent.

Assists in maintaining both within and outside the school, a program of Public Relations as may serve to promote understanding and maintain morale within the school and keep the public informed as to the activities, needs, and successes of the school.

Maintains a line of communication and works cooperatively with instructors, administration, and staff.

Maintains professional competence through participation in professional and civic activities.

Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with the staff at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

Performs such other duties, assumes such other responsibilities, and exercises such other authority as may be required by the Superintendent or ICTC Board of Education.

Required Qualifications Master's Degree; Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience. Minimum of three (3) years successful experience as a campus director, principal or similar type of administrative experience in a Technology Center or K-12 public school.

Standard or Provisional Superintendent’s Certificate / or Secondary Principal’s Certificate and be eligible for Career Tech Administrators Certificate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Establish and implement classroom procedures designed to maximize student learning.
2. Prepare detailed weekly lesson plans consistent with Common Core objectives. Timely submit
plans to assigned principal.
3. Prepare lessons consistent with written lesson plans and best education practices. Comply with
all Individualized Education Plans.
4. Maintain a neat and orderly classroom, including the physical arrangement of the room, student
records and materials.
5. Handle routine classroom discipline fairly.
6. Prepare and timely submit all required reports.
7. Attend and participate in all required meetings and conferences, including professional
development and planning meetings.
8. Maintain complete and accurate student records, including attendance, performance and
discipline records.
9. Provide professional and regular feedback to students and parents, ensuring compliance with all
laws and district policies and procedures.
10. Regularly participate in appropriate professional development opportunities.
11. Utilize professional behavior in all school related interactions.
12. Comply with all federal, state and local laws and board policies and procedures.
13. Perform all other tasks as supervisor may assign.

SUPERVISES:

All staff assigned to the school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the scheduling of classes; supervises the extra-curricular activities program.

Requisitions supplies and equipment, conducting inventories, maintaining records, and checking on receipts for such material.
Assists in the responsibility for coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.
Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and does investigative follow-up actions where needed.
Supervises conduct within the school and oversees all disciplinary procedures, keeping records of any disciplinary action.
Assists with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing the educational program and related activities and objectives.
Works with the principal in promoting the in-service program of the staff, and assists in the Community Awareness Program.
Assists in textbook and supplies distribution and inventory.
Works with the principal in the preparation of the student handbook.
Assists the principal in the general administration of the school, and serves as principal when the principal is absent.
Keeps confidential records of special students and supervises IEP conferences when necessary.
Coordinates the in-school suspension program.
Assigns any extra duties as necessary to teacher.
Does monthly dropout report for state department and assists with other state reports as necessary.
Obtains substitute teachers and/or “covering” teachers where necessary.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

210 days per year

Encumbrance Clerk/Payroll Officer/Insurance Coordinator/Superintendent Secretary
Keep all books and documents of the school district;
Enter the authorized amounts of appropriations in the various appropriations accounts;
Charge the appropriate appropriation accounts and credit the affected encumbrances outstanding accounts with approved encumbrances after determining that the encumbrances do not exceed the balance of the appropriation charged;
Receive certification from the proper district employee that services or merchandise billed to the district
have been received, file bills and invoices in official records, debit encumbrances outstanding account and credit the accounts payable account for the amounts of the approved bills.
Pay approved bills by issuing warrants against the designated funds, charging the warrants against the appropriate accounts payable account and crediting to the appropriate warrants issued account, or, by notifying the board treasurer that the bills are approved for payment in lieu of issuing warrants so that the treasurer can record payments by check, wire transfer, direct payroll deposit or other disbursement through the Federal Reserve System.
Pay and manage all heath, flex benefits.
Receive all warrants, certificates of indebtedness, or bonds from the treasurer after the treasurer has
registered the warrants in numerical order.
Perform such other duties as directed by the board of education and/or Superintendent.

Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree or qualifying experience.
Ability to explain and interpret policies of the superintendent's office to employees and public; ability to manage information systems; ability to perform varied, difficult, and complex clerical tasks at high rate of speed and accuracy; ability to prepare and maintain clear, detailed and complete reports; knowledge of data processing and word processing; thorough knowledge of district programs, operation and policies; thorough knowledge of modern office technology and procedures; excellent interpersonal and public relations skills and ability to function with independent judgment.
Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's Degree and/or comparable experience and personal characteristics that reflect excellent record keeping and secretarial skills, organizational ability, broad knowledge of administrative functions, strong customer service experience, and personal relations skills.
