Financial Incentives
• $20,000 Signing Bonus: Awarded to out-of-state Special Education Classroom Teachers who are certified in Mild/Moderate, Severe/Profound, or Comprehensive Special Education upon successful hiring and contract completion with an Oklahoma Public School.
• $10,000 Signing Bonus: Awarded to Special Education Classroom Teachers who are certified in Mild/Moderate, Severe/Profound, or Comprehensive Special Education entering their first year of teaching in a public school. Must be hired with an Oklahoma Public School and contract completed.
• $5,000 Retention Bonus: Eligible participants who were approved for the 2025–2026 out-of-state signing bonus will receive a $5,000 retention bonus during their second year of teaching in a Special Education classroom within the same district.
• $2,500 Retention Bonus: Distributed during the second year of teaching in a Special Education classroom—within the same district—to participants who qualified for and were approved for the 2025–2026 new teacher signing bonus.
Successful candidates must have a valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with proper required endorsements. Must have mild-moderate certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Administration Required
Oklahoma Secondary Principal Certification
Secondary teaching and/or administrative experience totaling at least five years
Such alternatives or additional qualifications that the board may find appropriate.
JOB GOAL:
Assume responsibility as a member of the high school administrative team to provide leadership and assist the principal with administrative duties in order to promote the educational development of each student.
Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school
Serves as principal in the absence of the regular principal
Observes and evaluates certified and support staff as assigned
Assists in the development and administration of policies dealing with discipline, conduct, attendance
Assists in the development of master schedules and student schedules and related activities
Assists in scheduling and conducting safety inspections and safety drill practice activities
Assists in coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria and other support services
Assists in supervising the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the attendance supervisor for investigative follow-up actions
Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and deals with special cases as necessary
Serves with parent, faculty and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
Communicates relevant policies and procedures with regard to student discipline, conduct and attendance to students, staff and parents
Works with and assists faculty in the development of effective classroom management and organization
Assists in the development and preparation of appropriate handbooks
Assists in the supervision of school events
Assists in the selection and mentoring of staff
Assists in the care and management of the building and grounds
Supervises textbook and netbook distribution, collection and maintenance
Prepares required reports and paperwork such as discipline reports, suspension reports, expulsion paperwork, discrimination complaints, injury reports, parent communications and other paperwork as assigned
Develops and coordinates duty rosters
Assists with student teacher assignments in the high school
Assists with development, organization and implementation of in-service programs as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or District Administrator
