Okeene Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Director of Special Education beginning with the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. The Special Education Director will oversee all aspects of the district’s special education program and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising special education services, assisting with IEP development and compliance, overseeing evaluations and eligibility determinations, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation, supporting teachers and staff in implementing effective instructional strategies for students with disabilities, and working collaboratively with administrators, teachers, parents, and outside agencies.

The Special Education Director will also assist with monitoring district compliance with all Oklahoma State Department of Education and federal IDEA requirements. The director will coordinate professional development related to special education and support ongoing program improvement to meet the needs of all students.

Okeene Public Schools serves approximately 340 students in grades Pre-K – 12.

Okeene Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and engaging individual who is both a visionary and a student/staff-centered principal for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. The principal of this building will serve as the instructional leader of the school, overseeing the implementation of our district curriculum, daily operations, student and staff development, staff placement, state reporting as it pertains to the elementary, and continual school improvement.

The principal will assist the high school principal with planning of annual staff development, placement of all staff members in his/her building, and hiring of personnel inside the elementary building. Okeene serves approximately 185 students in grades Pre-K – 6.

This position could allow for some coaching duties if the applicant desires and fits any coaching assignment needs.
