The Elementary Cultural Educator / Resource Specialist effectively implements and executes the Cherokee Language Push-In Program at Colcord Elementary. The push-in program is a social studies supplement that teaches the Cherokee language and culture to small groups of elementary students. The position also serves as a JOM Special Projects Coordinator and will hold the Cherokee Club weekly to prepare students for JOM Special Projects competitions. (Extra Duty Stipend—$3,000) This position is funded through the district’s Title VI- Indian Education & JOM programs.
A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred.
Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

The speech language pathologist is under the direction of the Director of Special Education.
This position is responsible for providing speech/language services to meet the individual needs of students with oral communication and speech/language impairments.
Position is responsible for screening and assessment; goal development; and planning/implementing appropriate speech and language treatment services to maximize student learning.
Selects, administers, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
Participates in the student support team, IEP, staffing, and eligibility meetings as required.
Develops individualized education plans for students receiving speech/language therapy services and implements therapy sessions that target IEP goals.
Monitors student progress, re-evaluates IEP objectives, and adjusts delivery of speech/language services as appropriate.
Maintains thorough records for each student receiving speech/language services at the assigned school(s) and provides related reports.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.
