Pleasant Grove Elementary teacher for Special Education instructional services delivery in fundamental subjects of reading, writing, math, and science. To foster academic, social, and emotional development. Create lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, assess student progress, and communicate with parents to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Instruction & Planning: Develop and deliver engaging, tailored lesson plans across multiple subjects (math, science, language arts, social studies) to meet diverse learning needs.
Classroom Management: Establish, maintain, and enforce classroom rules and safety procedures to ensure a productive, positive, and safe learning environment.
Student Assessment: Evaluate students' academic performance, social development, and behavior through tests, assignments, and observation.
Communication & Collaboration: Regularly communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and meet with other professionals to support individual student needs.
Mentorship: Foster social-emotional growth, promoting teamwork, confidence, and positive behavior.
Required Skills & Characteristics
Patience & Empathy: Ability to work with young, developing children with varied emotional and academic needs.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for teaching and collaborating with parents/staff.

Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education or a subject-specific area.
State-required teacher certification or licensure.
Passed required background checks.
