Piedmont Public Schools is home to over 4,650 students, grades pre-k thru 12. It is the goal of the Piedmont Activities and Athletics Department to enhance the educational process of students who have an interest in athletics, fine arts, or any other extracurricular activity and want a forum to challenge their physical and emotional capabilities. We offer a full range of competitive athletics and activities to over 1,700 secondary students. Our professional staff is committed to the ideals and basic fundamentals of sportsmanship, responsibility, work ethic and character development that are critical in any extracurricular program. We will soon break ground on new softball and baseball fields and a $15 million athletic facility. Our student-athletes have experienced success-- nine high school competing sports were 5A state qualifiers this year and the Girls' Fast Pitch Softball and Girls' Basketball teams are reigning State Champions. Performance Responsibilities:
• Responsible for administering all interscholastic policies and procedures working within the confines of the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association including but not limited to hardship application, eligibility decisions and rule changes.
• Interviews and evaluates all new candidates for original appointment and serves on the selection committee as needed.
• Offers recommendations concerning new facilities and improvements.
• Develops all interscholastic game/match schedules supported by a copy of the O.S.S.A.A. contract and approves the publication of such schedule.
• Attends booster club meetings and oversees all booster club functions and activities.
• Attends and mediates all parent conferences when necessary.
• Contracts game officials including those assigned by specific sports commissioners.
• Interprets board policy to the extent necessary to provide guidance for the athletes and coaches under his jurisdiction.
• Resolves conflicts that may develop.
• Oversees and approves the ordering and inventory of equipment, weight equipment, uniforms and medical supplies.
• Coordinates game workers and supervision for all home events.
• Coordinates insurance offerings to all players
• Holds new coaches seminars and orientations.
• Enrolls all coaches in the Oklahoma Coaches Association.
• Acts as tournament manager for all invitational, conference and playoff activities.
• Coordinates and schedules the use of both indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.
• Works with sponsors in the planning and administration of all homecomings and scheduling of all performances and clinics which involve the use of athletic facilities.
• Upgrades all trophy cases, honor boards, athletic and academic banners.
• Schedules physicals for all sports through appropriate medical professionals.
• Coordinates with the building maintenance concerning the repair and maintenance of athletic fields, facilities and equipment.
• Coordinates all facility use.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
• On call at all times, in case of emergency.
Terms of Employment: Number of calendar days and compensation based on approved administrator pay range salary scale and employee work calendars
Evaluation: Evaluation by Superintendent in accordance with BOE policy DNAA Evaluation of Administrative Personnel
Physical Demands:
• Ability to routinely and continually bend, squat, stand, walk, and push, pull, lift heavy objects.

The school leader must provide instructional leadership to enhance student achievement, use data to drive instructional decisions, and be responsible for the organization and operation of the school within the framework of the existing policies of Comanche Public Schools. Comanche Schools is a 1:1 district and the school leader should demonstrate a technology curriculum awareness.
The position will require the leader to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings. The leader will be expected to attend the majority of school functions.
