Description: Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Plan curriculum and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to meet individual needs of the student, considering state and school requirements and educational levels of development.

Ability to provide accommodations and/or modifications to meet individual student needs.

Ability to successfully utilize EdPlan and its components/forms.

Complete special education paperwork in a timely manner.

Conduct annual IEP meetings.

Review and report student progress in a required time frame, as well as discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Ability to work well with parents, teachers, administrators, related services providers, and other key stakeholders.

Supervise and mentor paraprofessionals who work with students with disabilities.

Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade.

Other teaching duties as specific to the specialized area.

Other duties as assigned.

Pay based on Oklahoma Teacher Salary Schedule.

Credentials: Oklahoma Certificate for specific teaching position

Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
