Position Summary: The Athletic Director provides leadership and coordination for all district athletic programs, ensuring compliance with district policies and state and national athletic regulations. This role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the athletic programs across the district to support student growth, team success, and community engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all athletic programs (middle school and high school), ensuring alignment with district goals and Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) regulations.

Develop and maintain athletic schedules, coordinate transportation, and secure officials for athletic contests.

Supervise and evaluate coaches and athletic staff, providing professional development and support as needed.

Prepare and manage the athletic department budget, including fundraising, purchasing, and inventory of equipment and uniforms.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding student eligibility, safety protocols, and Title IX.

Serve as the primary liaison between the school district, community organizations, and governing bodies of school athletics.

Promote good sportsmanship, academic achievement, and personal growth among student-athletes.

Coordinate athletic facility usage and maintenance in collaboration with school administrators and maintenance staff.

Attend athletic events and supervise as needed to support program success and school culture.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Sports Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Valid Oklahoma teaching or administrative certification.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in education, with at least three (3) years of experience in athletic coaching or athletic administration.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff, students, families, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as an Athletic Director or Assistant Athletic Director.

Knowledge of OSSAA rules and regulations.

Experience in budget management and fundraising.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Frequent attendance at evening and weekend athletic events required.

Ability to travel between school sites and off-site events.

Position may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs).
